Small Groups
Small Groups are groups in which families and individuals can gather in fellowship, build community, and encounter the Lord together. Below are the small groups that are available to our UPPERROOM Frisco community.

Ayo, Kayla, & Gabe (Young Adults Group) - FRISCO
Our group seeks to minister to the Lord and to each other through prayer and encouragement. We are led by the Spirit and truth of Scripture. We want to hold fast to the truth given to us while letting the Spirit move us as He wants us. We want everyone to have a vital role in the group so we feel like a family who can rely on each other. This young adult season from around ages 20-30 is so unique and we want to be a place to cultivate deep community and intimate friendships. This is a place to feel known, heard, accepted, loved while also being stretched and challenged. Our weekly flow will be to connect to the Lord, to the Word, and to others based on what we received. Some core verses for our vision are 1 Corinthians 14:3 and John 4:23-24. We meet every Tuesday at 6:30 pm at different locations in the area. Brittney & Barton Black - KRUM
Our heart for this group is to provide a safe space for conversations and growth no matter where you are in your faith walk. We want to know you aren’t alone in your life as we bear one another’s burdens. We want to cultivate a space full of hope, healing, and also full of fun and laughter. We want this group to be a breath of fresh air for you during your week where you know there will be encouragement, friendship, support, and most of all, brothers and sisters in Christ walking beside you in this life as we draw closer to Jesus and desire more of His heart. There will be food! :) Appetizer/dessert potluck style. Children welcome! We meet the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month at 5pm.
Gabriel & Rebecca Joy Richardson - DALLAS
Gabriel and Rebecca Joy Richardson invite all who dream for a safe space of artistic exploration, creative ministry, and out of the box play. This is a time to be child-like with one another and the Lord. They aim to cultivate a judgement-free, and joy-filled environment. Come with excitement to engage with our awe-inspiring, creative God! They are not providing childcare as space is limited (they also have a baby of their own), and they do not plan on feeding the group (come with a full stomach and a spiritual hunger!). Just bring your Bible, a notebook, a pen, and your child-like spirit. They are excited to welcome you!
Ken & Genesis Eakes - AUBREY
We are a gathering place for people who are passionate about impacting the world around them for the Kingdom of God. This is a place to develop deep connections so we can spur one another on to love and good deeds (Hebrews 10:24). In our time together we will seek to equip and empower one another to be all that God designed us to be so that together we can change the world. This group meets twice a month on Tuesdays at 7pm!
Alexander - WEST PLANO/CARROLLTON
We are a group where everyone is welcome. We will be meeting in West Plano/Carrollton twice a month on Tuesdays. Our goal and purpose is to create a safe environment for you to share your life, make deep connections, and be encouraged by other believers. Each gathering will be centered around food, fellowship, and what has been discussed during the Sunday Sermons. The only prerequisite to coming to our group is to show up. You will receive as much as you are willing to put in. God designed us for community, and we are so excited to have you join us!
CT & Tamara Steckel — PROSPER
Our desire is to open our home and create a safe, loving place for authentic community. Everyone is welcome! We would love to see college students, singles, new married couples and those like us who are raising kids and looking to connect with other believers in Jesus. We plan on sharing a meal, diving into the Word, and simply connecting with each other through worship, testimony, and fun activities. We're athletes and love to play games and compete... so come prepared! We are going to meet two Sundays a month at 5:30PM starting on October 15th.
Ryan & Hannah Crowl — PROSPER (CLOSED GROUP)
Hannah and Ryan Crowl started attending UPPERROOM Dallas in 2015 and were apart of the leadership team in launching Upper Room Frisco. The Crowls find their utmost satisfaction and joy in drinking from the intoxicating Love of Christ while continually growing in revelation of Who He is and Who they are in Him. They believe that if you see Him rightly, you'll see you rightly and there's nothing more rewarding to them than helping someone see how loved and valued they are to Papa God. This home group is open to couples and singles who want to build deeper connection with other brothers and sisters as we grow in revelation of who we are in Christ.
Andrew Brock & Christy Morgan — FRISCO (CLOSED)
The founder of the Vineyard movement, John Wimber, famously said (when referring to the gifts of the spirit and miraculous demonstrations of God’s power) “Everyone gets to play!” 1 Corinthians 14 encourages believers to bring a song, tell a story, share a lesson, or lead a prayer each time they gather together. Do you have gifts in your life that have been hidden away or gone dormant? Are you looking to discover and/or find a safe place to develop the unique giftings in your life? Or are you simply desiring an opportunity to know others and become known? This group will be focused on “doing the stuff” of the New Testament church, while laughing, sharing meals together, building relationships, and enjoying God. Come and be known! This group is open to singles and couples.
Phil & Yovana Moore — FRISCO (CLOSED)
Phil & Yovana Moore were former pastors at a Spirit filled church in the Chicago region for over 20 years, where we led the worship teams, taught and personally discipled groups of people for many years. We live in Frisco and love having people in our home, sharing meals, and doing life up close, in genuine relationships. It is our joy and pleasure to cultivate an environment with friends who will discover and grow in this high privilege. To experience and activate the love and life of Christ together and in every relationship! The purpose of our group is to do that very thing. We will pursue this deeper abiding in Jesus and experience the power of His word and life demonstrated in and through us together as sons and daughters in the Kingdom of God!
Kaeli & Ashish Joy - ANNA (CLOSED GROUP)
We have been a part of the UPPERROOM Frisco family since Fall 2021, and are excited to make friends, build community, and help people find a place where they can belong in God’s family. We love sharing stories over food and being a part of God’s redemption and healing when we do life together. Our small group is open to anyone in any stage of their journey because the family of God is diverse, multigenerational, and unique in beautiful ways! When you come to small group in our home (yes, your kids are more than welcome), you can expect to eat good food, meet friends, and find your people- all in the context of God’s amazing presence!
Kevin & Jett Eldridge - CELINA (CLOSED GROUP)
We have been coming to the Frisco campus since November 2021 and have been attending UPPERROOM since 2019. We were engaged with the Marriage and Relationship Ministry under Sharla Brennaman at UR Dallas. We love the Lord, love peeps, and are passionate about seeing people get set free and walk in their God-given identities.
Casey & Cheryl Haun - CARROLTON (CLOSED GROUP)
In our group, we love to do life together, connect deeply, be vulnerable, and love sacrificially. We also aim to connect with His heart for our world and generation. We do this through testimonies and getting into His Word together—letting this shape us. And we are all about activating and operating and growing in the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
